How many airports are there in Shanghai? Which one should I choose to book my flight?
The city has two airports – Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Hongqiao International Airport (SHA). If you are going to book a domestic flight, Hongqiao airport should be your first choice since it is much closer to the downtown area. If you want to book an international flight, Pudong Airport has a wider choice of flights.
I've heard there are several water towns near Shanghai. Which one should I choose for a day trip?
There are eight ancient water towns with somewhat similar landscapes near the city. The tranquil and less-touristy Xitang and Tongli give visitors a better experience. Both of them are around 1.5 hours drive. However, if you like a more bustling atmosphere, the more developed Zhouzhuang or Wuzhen, still hold irresistible charms and captivate tourists from around the world.
Can you tell me which tower would be the best to visit, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, World Financial Center, Jin Mao Tower or Shanghai Tower?
Either Shanghai Tower or the World Financial Center is a good option. As the tallest and second tallest skyscrapers in China, they both offer amazing city views with symbolic landmarks including the neighboring Jin Mao Tower and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. For a thrill, the World Financial Center has a transparent glass floor at F100 for visitors to walk on and look down to the ground below.
I will stay in Shanghai for a few days. Which neighboring city can I visit and come back in the same day?
You can take a private day trip to Suzhou or Hangzhou by a high-speed train. The one way train journey to Suzhou takes only about 30 minutes, and around 1 hour to Hangzhou.
Both Suzhou and Hangzhou are quite different from the hustle and bustle of Shanghai. Suzhou is known for its exquisite classical gardens, where you can enjoy a charming natural beauty, harmonious old buildings and rich local culture. Hangzhou, nicknamed “heaven on earth”, boasts great natural beauty and cultural relics. You will definitely be struck by the enchanting scenery of the West Lake, which has been listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2011. No matter which of the two you visit, you won't be disappointed by our Shanghai vacation packages.

I'm very interested in visiting the Disneyland. Can I add it into your private Shanghai tour itinerary?
The Disneyland is indeed an incredibly happy place, and you can certainly add it to any of our Shanghai local tour itineraries. To save your travel cost, we suggest you book tickets on the Disney Resort App, on the official website of the park, call 400-180-0000 or 86-21-31580000. Also, though it is not that essential to have a guide for the Disneyland, we are more than happy to offer private transfers to and from Disneyland for your convenience.
The guide gave us a good explanation and treated us kindly. He got along well with us and always livened up the atmosphere during the trip.
I chose TravelChinaGuide to plan my Shanghai tour. They did an excellent job! The itinerary was reasonable and not in a hurry. My son and I could keep up with the group. Everyone was punctual and friendly. We were able to arrive at the scenic spots and return to the hotel on time.
The guide also cared about us especially my son. My son liked her very much! I was pleased with the Shanghai tour and wished I had the guide accompany if I could return. ... More
The guide made great use of time and arranged everything properly. There was no shopping stop. What we need to do during this trip was to have a great rest and enjoy the beautiful scenic spots. That’s so good!
